Testing Google Docs.
I've never been a fan of Microsoft Word---in fact I've always hated it---so I'm not really the target audience for this feature. That said, this is pretty easy to use, so I might opt for it as an alternative to working in Word whenever I find it necessary to produce Word documents. Not to mention the ease with which I can transform this to a PDF or post it to my blog. The key feature for me is that I can edit in raw HTML, which is really my preferred method for formatting documents, since I never dedicated enough time to learning LaTeX, which I guess is the hardcore document formatter for people that don't like using GUIs.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, the blog-publishing feature doesn't handle categories and tags very well--probably Typo's fault. I suspect if I were to use a more mainstream blog program, the integration would be less buggy.

Whit McLeod Site Goes Live
Well, after a year or so of development Matt and i finally managed to get the Whit McLeod revamped website live. Not very proud of the backend work i did so much (a lot of hacks based on last minute customer changes), but Matt did a great job designing it and it does make the furniture look good. They got three orders within the first week!!
I guess the really snazzy photographs help a lot too. Return of the furniture pron?
My Backpack Page 1
I’ve been trying to play with as many new rails apps as I can, to get a better sense of what other people are doing with the technologies. Among other things, I’ve created an account at 37Signal’s Backpack to list all the books and movies I need to see and read or think about seeing and reading: http://jundai.backpackit.com/pub/637518. Feel free to send me recommendations.
The Scanner Photography Project 1
There’s a rare opportunity to appreciate a unique combination of technological innovation and artistic sensibility at The Scanner Photography Project. I’m not sure how many people are likely to fall in his footsteps or how committed he is to this one medium, but the photos Michael Golembewski has come up with using his digital scanner-camera are striking, and I’ll be very curious to see what else he comes up with. (I donated $10, just ‘cause)
the bitter*girls
the bitter*girls is an intriguing photo blog. I like the photos, I envy him his camera, and I wonder how he makes everything look so fake and miniature. For example, his photo of construction workers, which he took from high up in the building next to the site, looks like an insanely-detailed lego set construction.
